Nestled amidst the cornfields of Southeast Indiana, the Whiskey City Traditional Archers offer a haven for traditional archery enthusiasts. More than just a club, we're a community of single-string bow aficionados passionate about keeping the traditions alive. We're also a close-knit group that travels to other shoots and events, often carpooling and camping together.

Whiskey City Traditional Archers was founded to fill a gap in our area, and our first year saw incredible growth with 132 members and over 100 shooters at our year-end classic. At the end of the 2024 season our membership numbers reached 200 members and our Classic shoot drew nearly 300 shooters!  Bottomline, WE ARE GROWING! Having said that, we proud to have some of the best members and single-string folks that can be found anywhere!

Our annual $20 membership is packed with value, including a free club shirt and discounts on shoot registration fees. We believe in fostering the next generation of archers, so pee wee, cub, and youth shooters always receive trophies at our events. For members, a challenging 15-target field range is open year-round, providing ample opportunity for practice and enjoyment. Our main course always consist of 30 Targets from varying distances (IBO RULES). You don't have to attend the shoots to become a member as we had over 80 members via the website last year that came on board to support the club and we've seen that grow every year!

We keep our schedule fresh and exciting with a variety of events throughout the year:

• Early February: Kick off the season with a shed antler roundup and stump shoot.
• End of February: Sharpen your skills with our annual Rod Jenkins Shooting clinic.
• Seasonal Shoots: Enjoy themed shoots like the Super Bowl Sunday Throw-down, St. Paddy's Day Throw-down, and our special Mothers Day shoot where all moms shoot for free!
• Small Game and Vintage Bow Shoots: Test your skills in unique and challenging formats.
• The targets on our courses: Newer Targets are constantly updated and refreshed to challenge shooters of all levels. No searching for score-lines on shot out targets here!

One of the most anticipated events of the year is our WHISKEY CITY CLASSIC SHOOT, where archers compete for the ultimate prize: a coveted "Whiskey Barrel Lid" sourced from the Seagrams Distillery here in Whiskey City, Indiana!

This year, we're excited to introduce a brand-new member-only end of year banquet. This is going to be quite the undertaking but we are working diligently to make certain we are represented well and have a great time!
